Alyssa Nilsen

After moving to Oslo in 2006, she worked as the Managing Editor, photographer, and music journalist for Musikknyheter.no.

Alyssa then relocated to London, England, where she worked as a published freelance journalist, stringer, band photographer, and recurring guest at BBC Radio.

Bands she has interviewed and shot portraits of range from Michael Bublé, Sting & Shaggy, Imagine Dragons, Suede, The 1975, Jimmy Eat World, Gåte, Aurora and My Chemical Romance, to Slipknot, Band of Horses, Biffy Clyro, Fleet Foxes, and the stars of Scandi hit TV-series Beforeigners. Her work has been featured in, among others, Dagsavisen, Scan Magazine (including cover features), The Ocelot and other magazines. 

Clients who have purchased and published her pictures include Magne Furuholmen (A-ha/Apparatjik). Imagine Dragons and Ticketmaster, and her photos were used as wallpaper of now closed Oslo venue Bushwick.
